Well, I received the book in the mail last night.  Thank you very much!  I read it cover to cover today.   All I can say is I loved it.  I have to say, that although I thoroughly enjoyed the book as a whole, my favorite chapters were the ones written by Jennifer, Mariano and Angie.  There were various times throughout the pages that I cried, but those three chapters hit my heart the hardest. Yes, I was one of those relatives (sisters) that thought you had lost your mind when you adopted all those children, I can see now that I was severely mistaken in my judgment.  I have to say, I was probably right there with Angie when she said "These people will never make it."  Well, that was only my own shortcomings talking because I knew it wasn't something I would ever have been brave enough to even attempt.  Well, thank God me and Angie were wrong! You took your life that you have been living every day, and all the things you have accomplished and/or tried to accomplish, and wrote that book.  And it made sense, and it was an easy read, and people will understand it, and hopefully, learn something about themselves from it.  I know I did.

In reading your book, I am totally amazed at all you've had to learn along the way.  It's just absolutely incredible.  You and Dave are very amazing people.  You definitely have our love and support and prayers.

Using you as an inspiration, I became a foster youth mentor. I harbor no illusions about comparing what I'm doing to the commitment you and Dave have made, but I do hope that I can make a difference in my mentee's life.

I opened your book at 5:00 and finished it at 8:30.  I couldn't put it down. Dave you got it! You clearly explained the learning process you went thru to care for all your kids. It's a page by page book on how to care for our wounded and battered children. The stories your kids wrote were beautiful. I can't say enough how touched I was by this book. All new foster and adoptive parents should be required to read this book. Kathy I loved your artwork. It's adorable.
